Leila Ghasemi
Leila Ghasemi is a versatile professional based in Los Angeles known for her work as an architectural Designer and artist. Originally from Iran, she earned an associate’s degree in architecture and a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Technology Engineering from Tehran, where she was distinguished for having the best thesis project. Following graduation, Leila won two architectural competitions simultaneously in Iran and received several other awards, including teaching at a university.
She also spent four years researching museums’ functionality and design, resulting in creating a guidebook for students in Iran before establishing her own architecture office. In addition to her architectural practice, Leila pursued her passion for art professionally.
After several years of practicing architecture in Iran, Leila continued her education in the United States and was accepted into SCI-Arc’s graduate program. In 2021, she collaborated with LAMRY Architects in the United States and received a certificate of Finalist from the “YAC” International Architectural Design Competition for designing the Arctic Hotel. Her thesis project at SCI-Arc was selected to participate in the Study International ACSA student showcase.
Following graduation, Leila excelled as a designer at an architecture firm, which has inspired her to pursue her passion further and seek out opportunities to work at top architecture firms in the industry. She also had the opportunity to showcase her work at two prestigious exhibitions in New York and Los Angeles in 2022. VoyageLA Magazine has also interviewed Leila for their Inspiring Stories series as part of Downtown LA coverage.
She believes that genuine success comes from courageously stepping outside one’s comfort zone, working diligently, and making great efforts to transform aspirations into reality.
