In_K

New media artist Bi Zhenyu explores and creates digital interactive images under the moniker “In_K”. In_K’s
ontological exploration of the medium of “technological art” continues in the context of “cybernetics” and
“post-humanity”, and focuses on the meta-issue of
“quantization/simulation” in thinking about the medium
of “technological art”. The “digital field” constituted by
the screen is as fascinating as the “natural field”, and
In_K seeks for the “resonance” between quantitative
and analog information, and presents it in a dialectical
way. As a media artist, In_K also pays attention to and
uses the material properties of “technological art”. His
experience of programming with computers in the past
ten years has made him realize that the intelligence
emerging from the powerful computer media is fascinating, and that new technologies and technological
materials are easy to be glamorized and give rise to excessive imaginations, and on the other hand, the algorithmic totalitarianism and bias of the computer media
are obscuring the problems or generating new problems. On the other hand, the algorithmic totalitarianism
and bias of the computer medium are obscuring problems or creating new ones.
